Joestu Aquarium Umigatari

Exhibiting 45,000 aquatic organisms of about 300 species, mainly creatures that inhabit the Sea of Japan. The aquarium boasts the largest collection of Magellanic penguins in Japan, with more than 100 penguins on display, and there are new discoveries and stories to be told every time you visit.

Access

If coming from the Myoko area, take the Myoko Haneuma Line from Myoko-Kogen Station to Naoetsu Station. Joetsu Aquarium “Umigatari” is a 15-minute walk from Naoetsu Station.
